The Top 5 Finalists were announced last week and included: Braek Haven, Valerie Woodard, Kristie Grace Lee and Kendall McDowell & R.A.W. (Radical Authentic Worshippers).There were 50 entries in the contest and even the top 10 artists were very close with positions changing daily. Voting hit an all time high with nearly 18,000 votes cast during the 1-week vote by the general public, friends and fans. Then the Top 5 were judged by our panel of music industry professionals who included several well-known Gospel radio personalities and the 2014 Stellar Artist of the Year – Tamela Mann.The judges had a very difficult decision to make and the competition offered a level of excellence unparralleled in the JoyFest – NC Talent Competitions. We are so grateful to each artist who entered, each fan who voted and each judge who gave their time and expertise to this contest.The JoyFest – NC Talent Competition winner will perform as the opening artist at JoyFest – NC on Saturday, May 24 and share the same stage as Kirk Franklin, Lecrae, Tamela Mann, Sherri Shepherd and Comedian Bone Hampton.
