12 Days of Christmas – Day 2

Day 2 of the 12 Days of Christmas features World Vision’s Family Emergency Kits. You can help provide Family Emergency Kits in the U.S.

For the first time in our 70-year history, World Vision has declared a Global Health Emergency Response. And that includes right here at home. As the impact of COVID-19 grows across the U.S., World Vision is working hand in hand with churches and school districts to deliver essentials to the most vulnerable children and families.

We are raising $10 million for this critical U.S. response to the COVID-19 pandemic. From 14 strategic locations across the nation, we’re providing 650,000 people with Family Emergency Kits containing food for a family of five, protective items like hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes, and other desperately needed essentials.  Schools often provide the primary meals for vulnerable children, and these kits help fill the void left by school closures.

NFL player and World Vision Ambassador, Kelvin Beachum Jr., says “I was a kid who benefited from federal feeding programs and now I am blessed to have a platform and resources to pour blessings into others. I want to inspire giving that shows Christ’s love—so parents don’t have to make the tough choice between electricity and dinner for their kids.”

Your gift of  $75 can provide a Family Emergency Kit to one family, which includes things like:

Nutritious fruits and vegetables, protein, pasta, rice and cereal to feed a family of five for one week.
School supplies like color crayons, erasers, scissors, glue and more.
Hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and first-aid antiseptic.
Paper products including toilet paper and paper towels.
Books, board games, and coloring books.
In addition to Family Emergency Kits, World Vision is providing critical personal protective equipment for healthcare workers at hard-hit medical centers, including face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer.

Please donate HERE today to show the love of God to kids, families, and healthcare workers in the U.S. by providing them with the urgent resources they need.

Thank you for your support and your prayers: for those who are sick and quarantined, for families who’ve lost loved ones, for health workers dedicated to stopping the virus, and for God’s perfect love to cast out fear.
