The constant newsfeed of global health updates, quarantines, and conspiracy theories are fuel for anxiety. News reports imply that everything—from the economy to politics—is bad and getting worse. It’s overwhelming. The daily wear can cause us to lose hope and be consumed by fear.
And yet—even as things shift around us—if we have Christ in us, we can have unshakeable faith. This kind of faith fortifies and enables us to face the storm. It reminds us that Jesus is our rock and mighty fortress. It relies on him who promised to never leave or forsake us.
Because of the COVID-19 crisis, we’ve had to postpone upcoming Propel events. While this change is not what we planned, we trust God and are grateful to our leaders for the difficult decisions they are making in real time. We want to fully comply with the new safety guidelines established by the authorities, so we can do our part to protect the vulnerable and flatten the curve.
Even with events being postponed, I look forward to being more connected with you than ever through social media in these coming weeks. Above all, I want to encourage you to:
Stay Calm.
Stay Strong.
Stay Open.
Stay Generous.
Stay Faithful.
Stay Decisive.
Stay Hopeful.
Uncertain times can fill us with fear, but we can believe that God is still trustworthy to carry us through. Remember, the world will always be changing—but God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
