Newsboys former members Phil Joel and Peter Furler have joined the Newsboys current members – lead vocalist Michael Tait, Jody Davis (guitar), Jeff Frankenstein (keys) and Duncan Phillips (drums) – on the Newsboys United Tour for a 40-city tour that brings all the hits from the legendary group’s 30-year tenure to one huge event. It’s a tour that is striking chords among several generations of Newsboys’ fans.
“The whole purpose of this tour is to let my 13-year-old son know that I was in a cool band,” joked Phil Joel, current member of the group Zealand and former member of Newsboys.
