Musical Affirmation of Christ (MusicalAC) takes the prize as winner of the JoyFest-Six Flags Over Georgia Talent Competition 2013. They will be the opening group to perform at JoyFest on July 13th and share the same stage with Gospel music greats – Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Le’Andria Johnson and Isaac Carree!Judges for this contest were music industry professionals who had a very difficult decision to make: Charles “Chip” Mathews, CEO of Chameleon Productions, a multimedia music production company; Reggie Rich, CEO & President at Rejoice America Radio, and Editor/Camera Operator at Carolina School of Broadcasting; and Rodney Evans, President of the Atlanta Announcers Guild and Host of WCLK 91.9 FM’s “Joy in the Morning” Show. Evans is also serving as the Premier Festivals Street Team Leader for JoyFest-Georgia.We are so grateful to this distinguished panel of professionals for their time and effort in selecting the winner. Each judge ranked the top five finalists in order of preference. A first place ranking received 5 points, second place received 4 points and so on. Points were tallied for each group and the artist with the highest number of points won. The winner – MusicalAC received two first place votes by the judges. Emory Anderson also received a first place ranking by one of the judges. The winner received 13 points and Emory Anderson received the second highest ranking at 10 points. All in all, we are so grateful to the very talented group of artists who entered this competition, and especially to the top five finalists.MusicalAC has traveled throughout the country spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, participating in conferences such as the State of Florida Gospel Announcers Guild Convention, the Rhythm of Gospel Awards and the Independent Gospel Artists Alliance Conference, according to their posted biography. The ministry has received multiple nominations with various gospel music awards such as the South Florida Gospel Music Awards and the Rhythm of Gospel Music Awards. MusicalAC are members of the Jacksonville Gospel Announcers Guild in Jacksonville, FL as well as the Jacksonville Chapter of Gospel Music Workshop of America.MusicalAC released its most current single “Trust in You” on February 26, 2013.
