The votes are in and the judges have decided.Angie Cleveland is the JoyFest-Charlotte Talent Competition Winner. After a week of voting by the general public, Angie ranked in the top 5 out of more than 30 contestants. Then a panel of music industry professionals judged the top five and ranked them 1-5 in order or preference. Angie scored the highest in total points and she ranked in 1st place by 3 of the 5 judges!She will be the opening performer at on May 25 at Carowinds, and share the same stage with some of the great names in Gospel music – Kirk Franklin, United Tenors featuring Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, Lecrae, Le’Andria Johnson, Isaac Carree and Humble Tip, along with comedian Bone Hampton! She also wins a $500 cash award, the opportunity to sell her merchandise at the festival and complimentary hospitality.The next JoyFest Talent Competition will be posted this week. Angie Cleveland currently holds a position on the BDS Charts with her new single, ‘Covenant Song’ from her current project, “Prophetic Worshipper,” produced by record label AngelFlyte Records of South Carolina.Her fans have been waiting for this next new release since her previous album, “The Ministry of a Broken Key” in 2007 which featured follower favorites, ‘High Praise,’ ‘Holy is the Lamb,’ and ‘It All Belongs to You.’As a Levite, Angie Cleveland recorded her debut album in 2003 and has ministered in places such as the Bahamas, Switzerland, and Japan. She served as the Music Director of the Gordon Collums Gospel Choir for eight years at her alma mater, the University of South Carolina Upstate. Angie was licensed to minister the gospel and began her journey to the prophetic in 2002.
