New Fair Trade Services singer/songwriter Austin French is an artist to watch. I love the confessional and biblical lyrics on his recent album, Wide Open. If you’ve been waiting for a fresh filling of Christ-focused catchy songs about relying completely on God’s grace, then this is the album to get. It features standouts, “Born Again,” “Freedom Hymn,” and “Why God.”
These songs express the deep love Jesus has for us. And how His mercy and grace is something we don’t deserve, which causes our hearts to overflow with gratefulness. His songs are great expressions of our thankfulness back to God. I had the opportunity to interview Austin in-person at Winter Jam in Reading, Pennsylvania about his autobiographical song, “Why God.”
